Windows 7 Bsod While Gaming Please Help!

Hello,

I am having major issues with my custom built gaming pc. I have had this rig for less than a year and everything had been running smoothly up until recently. While playing games my pc will just randomly blue screen. I did not assemble the pc myself, i have very little knowledge about how computers actually work., and am completely lost on what to do to fix these issues. I will provide the minidump files for the crashes. If someone could please point me in the direction on how to remedy this i would be greatly appreciative! It is getting to the point where i cant play anything...

I have tried updating drivers, re installing drivers, memory tests, increased cooling. I am stumped, and its driving me to my wits end.

These are copy/pastes of the minidump files that i have had of the past few days, and the most frequent.

thanks for sending the info. You have dump files ranging from USB, Graphics, memory management, Network and the above. The above dump file is blaming an Intel chip for the issue and usually with such a varied array of issues shown normally one would consider a hardware fault straight away. The cause could be down to an old bios, faulty memory or other hardware related fault which we'll test for.

If after updating the above you still have bsod issues please download and run the memory testing app found here (you will need to burn it to either USB or disk):

Run for a few passes.
Post any new dump files.

Thank you very much. Is it possible that cause could be faulty RAM? I have been thinking about it, and my computer only blue screens while i am in a game. Also, from checking the dump files i noticed a major increase in BSOD's a few days after i upgraded from 8g to 16g of RAM. I will do the things provided and get back to you, and post any new dump files that occur.

It could be a possibility about the RAM but Memtest will tell you one way or the other.. I look forward to your next post.

So i downloaded all driver updates, but i cannot figure out how to download memtest.
After the driver updates my computer seemed to run a lot smoother. If you could direct me on memtest that would be great.

Also, over the last three days i have ran stress tests, memory tests through a program provided by msi, and everything seemed to check out. I just got another blue screen with a new error code (provided as attachment)

Hi,

you need to download the app from the link below and then burn it to disk. You'll then need to enter your bios to change the boot order so that CD/DVD drive is first. This is so you can boot from the memtest disk and test the RAM outside of the windows environment. Other memory apps just don't cut it as this is industry standard.

If you can't for some reason do the above you could just try removing all the RAM but one stick. Run the machine and see if a bsod occurs. Try the same with all sticks to determine if one is bad or not. If you find sticks which don't bsod then you know which is the bad ones.

I will probably just test the sticks individually. I don't feel comfortable with messing with my bios not being very tech savvy.

Hi,
apologies for the late reply but was away yesterday. The above dump is pointing to the USB3 driver but I still feel that it has more to do with a hardware error than a driver one. Please check your RAM asap and really you should learn about your Bios. The more you know about your individual system the better it will work for you.

Re' Your above question about the app: If it's MSI Afterburner try uninstalling to test if not then it can be left.

I have been doing tons of research on computers in general, and have learned a lot. I just took out the RAM I added to the system about a month ago, and i have not blue screened yet. I plan on returning it, Thank you for you time, and effort. If i have any more complications i will post them here. Thank you again!
