Windows 8 Backup & Restore Start Screen

Hey, guys! Here is a simple way to backup and restore your Start screen.

1) Extract the .zip to your desktop.
2) Open START.
3) Right-click on BACKUP START and replace my username (ALEX) with yours. Repeat this step for RESTORE START. I wanted to add a variable so that you didn't have to do that, but it was a little too complex and I'm no expert.

From there, all you have to do is open BACKUP START to save your Start screen once you get it all set. If something goes haywire, i.e., a little one decides to move things around and make a mess, just open the RESTORE START and it will be as good as new! :)

I also included another file to restart your Windows Explorer in case you ever need to do so. You can ignore the MESSAGE BOX.

I hope this comes in handy for someone! I know I will be using it!

- Alex

P.S. This will NOT delete anything. Once you open RESTORE START, the old files are moved to a new directory within the START folder labeled OLD START BACKUP.
