In the past I've post an issue I had were I was getting a B(Blue)SOD but now
this is something different, I hope.
When I launch either of 2 games (Borderlands and The Secret World), after a
while, the screen will go dark and most of the time I'll hear a high pitched
wine, I'll restart the PC and everything is usually good. I say usually because
in the last 2 days, when booting up, I'll get to the screen that says "Starting
windows" or the desktop is about to be displayed and the screen goes dark.
The SSD firmware has been updated to the latest; I worked with Kingston to do
this. In the BIOS, the drive is configured to use Raid (XHD) and the drive is
physically connected to the SATA3 port.
I have tried physically connecting it to a SATA2 for the firmware upgrade
along with changing from Raid (XHD) to ACHI to IDE. When I run the program
Speccy, it says that the status of S.M.A.R.T is bad and running Crystal Disk
Info, it says Unknown for the disk health and other fields.
