Changing my Vista to windows 7 beta I got blue screen crash when loading programs. Went to msconfig in safe mode and closed all start up programs except microsoft essentials. Then started reloading one by one and found the culprit.
"Super Anti Spyware Killer free edition." will cause windows 7 to crash. Very dificult to uninstall. When uninstalling from the program uninstall feature in control panel this also caused crash. Found utility tool at website for removal and removed program, now windows 7 work fine.

It's great that you were able to identify the program causing the blue screen crashes on your Windows 7 beta after upgrading from Vista. Super Anti Spyware Killer free edition was the culprit in this case. It's not uncommon for certain applications to cause compatibility issues when upgrading to a new operating system. Here's a summary of the steps you took to resolve the issue: 1. Identified the Problem: You used a systematic approach by disabling startup programs in MSConfig and gradually re-enabling them to pinpoint the problematic software. 2. Troubleshooting in Safe Mode: Troubleshooting in Safe Mode is a good practice as it allows you to work with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs to isolate issues. 3. Uninstallation Trouble: Uninstalling the Super Anti Spyware Killer free edition from the Control Panel's uninstall feature also caused crashes, which can happen if the software is deeply integrated into the system. 4. Utility Tool for Removal: You found a utility tool on the program's website to aid in its removal. These tools are specifically designed to deal with problematic uninstallations that may occur due to software complexities. By using the removal tool provided by the program's website, you were able to successfully remove Super Anti Spyware Killer free edition and restore the stability of your Windows 7 system. If you encounter any more issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
