Hello WindowsForum.com members!
Microsoft has just released Windows 11 Build 22621.675 (KB5019509) to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel, bringing a suite of exciting enhancements to Windows 11, version 22H2.
Here’s a deep dive into the new features rolling out:
Enhanced File Explorer with Tabs
File Explorer now supports tabs, making it easier than ever to manage multiple File Explorer sessions just like in Microsoft Edge. The new homepage allows you to pin important files for quick access and features integration with Microsoft OneDrive to collaborate with colleagues seamlessly. Personalized suggestions based on your Microsoft 365 account will also help streamline your workflow.
Suggested Actions When Copying Items
Exclusively available to users in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, this feature offers suggestions when you copy items such as phone numbers or future dates. For instance, you can directly make a call using Teams or Skype or add an event to your Calendar app.
Taskbar Overflow Menu
The taskbar now includes an overflow menu that elegantly organizes your overflowed apps, ensuring a clutter-free taskbar and easy access to all your applications.
Enhanced Nearby Sharing
Sharing files and links just got easier with the ability to share to more devices, including desktops. The improved nearby sharing feature will now help you discover and share with even more devices around you.
These updates are part of a continuous effort by Microsoft to bring innovation and value through Windows 11. Keep an eye out for these enhancements rolling out in October as announced by Panos Panay.
