This morning when I turned on my computer it froze at the starting windows screen. I tried to reboot several times to no avail. I then tried to boot into safe mode, and it stops loading at the following file:
Windows/system32/drivers/atipcie.sys

I ran startup repair which was unable to fix the problem but gave me this information:

Any help is much appreciated.

Solution
It seems like your computer is experiencing issues with startup, specifically getting stuck at the "starting windows" screen and encountering a freeze during the boot process. The fact that you're unable to boot into Safe Mode and encountering a freeze at the file "atipcie.sys" indicates a potential driver-related problem. The error details you provided from the Startup Repair indicate that it was unable to identify a root cause for the issue. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve this problem: 1. Attempt System Restore: - If you have a system restore point, try to restore your system to a point before this issue occurred. This might help in resolving any recent changes that caused the problem. 2. Update or...

Attempt System Restore: - If you have a system restore point, try to restore your system to a point before this issue occurred. This might help in resolving any recent changes that caused the problem. 2. Update or Rollback Graphics Drivers: - The atipcie.sys file is related to ATI graphics drivers. You can try updating or rolling back your graphics driver to see if that resolves the issue. 3. Boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt: - If you're able to boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt, you might be able to disable or update the problematic driver from there. 4. Check for Disk Errors: - Run a disk check to ensure that there are no errors on your system drive. You can do this by running the command chkdsk /f from the Command Prompt. 5. Perform a Repair Install: - If other methods do not work, you might consider performing a repair install of Windows. This process will repair your Windows installation while keeping your files intact. Try these steps one by one, starting with the least invasive methods like attempting a system restore or updating drivers, and progress to more involved solutions if needed. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you encounter any issues while trying these steps.
