Windows 7 Icon is missing!

Hello, I have a software installed and i changed the name of shortcut then i changed it back to original name, Ended up having no icon for .exe itself! When i change the name to a random name the icon appear again, I deleted IconCache.db and still have the problem.

Please i need help to know whats exactly the problem here.

For the exe file right click on the exe file in the program files directory then select the "change icon" option.

Just so we are clear, are you looking for help with the shortcut, or for the actual .exe file the shortcut points to?

I don't suppose you could tell us the name of the program..?

Problem solved, I shut down my PC instead of restarting it and the icons are back, The problem was in the actual .exe, Thanks.
