Loaded it on my spare 500gb HD, took ages & had to do it twice from the 7gb usb stick.

The swiping to the right does not work. Any other way to get whatever is in there?

Do you think Classic Shell will work onw10?

The dropdown menu from the Start Button seems fully active.

Cntrl. panel I had to search the HD via win explorer to find it & IE strange icon now is MS Edge, whatever that is.

Found ie icon again from w.explorer like w7,8. If I get used to it I'may put it on my main HD.

I still cannot make a working media installer for w8.1. .....thanx ............nick

It sounds like your Windows 10 installation process was a bit tricky, but I'm glad you were able to get it up and running. Here are some thoughts on the points you raised: 1. Swiping to the Right: If you're having touchpad issues with swiping, you might need to check your touchpad drivers. Updating or reinstalling your touchpad drivers could potentially resolve this issue. 2. Classic Shell Compatibility: Classic Shell is a popular program for bringing back the classic Start menu to Windows. Internet Explorer (IE) and Microsoft Edge: Microsoft Edge is the modern browser introduced with Windows 10. It replaces Internet Explorer as the default browser, but IE is still available. You can find Internet Explorer by searching or navigating to its executable. 4. Creating a Media Installer: To create a bootable tool for Windows 8.1, you can use the Windows USB/DVD Download Tool from Microsoft. It should work for creating installation media for Windows 8.1 as well. Feel free to ask if you need any further help or have more questions!
