Windows 7 Monitor Suddenly Will Not Recognize Computer

Hi
So I went on a three day trip. When I got home, I turned on my computer. The cooling unit made an unusual noise, and all of a sudden the monitor turned off, as well as the computer. Now, whenever I turn on the computer, it works perfectly fine (The cooling unit noise is gone also) but the monitor just goes to the ASUS boot logo and tells me VGA no signal. Even that only happens sometimes, it will mostly just remain in sleep mode.
Things I have done:
- Tried with a different monitor
- Tried with DVI cable

I wish I could tell you my graphics card but I just don't remember.

You could try to reset your CMOS. It's a jumper somewhere on your Mobo, can't tell precisely since I don't know your board.

Thanks, I'm unfortunately on vacation for five days but Il give that a shot when I get home.
