Need help deciding on 2 components for new pc build

I noticed a weird on today in Windows 10.
I have the System Image part of my backups set to delete the previous one and then make the new one.
System Image's on my PC usually take 3 1/2 hours with the way my PC is setup.
Todays System Image was done in 15 minutes and the whole backup & system image was done in under 30 minutes.

I remember that with the backup portion of it, but system image always took the same amount of time or even a little bit longer.
This time around, as I only had a few software and browser updates and nothing else. The system image should've still taken 3.5 hours, as it deletes the old image and writes the new image.
Actually on my PC, system image actually images both my dad's as Windows thinks my second ssd is on C:.
GameSave Manager's Steam Spreader uses symbolic links to move my games from C: to D:, thus C; thinks D: is on C::.
Then something I noticed that Microsoft changed in 1803 is System Restore.
The option to keep the last restore point and delete the rest is gone.
Now it delete's all of them.

Here's a example of how C: thinks all my games are on it.
All the folder with white arrows are on D:\Games (ssd 2).

Real weird one earlier today. PC was fine, restarted it and no power to PC.
Was gonna swap power chords from old pc to this one.
Then I decided to try plugging the psu's power chord into my 2nd surge suppressor in my room and pc is working again.
I guess my old 1996 era surge suppressor is beginning to go bad.
Hopefully it makes it until fall, at least for where my monitor is plugged into it, as it's power button is worthless now.
I got the other stuff I normally done later today, as I took a 3 he. break after the PC power outage.
New Radeon Adrenalin 18.6.1 drivers released today.
3DMark scores:
Time Spy: 4369 up some
Fire Strike: 11801 up some
Fire Strike Extreme: 5998 down some

Actually, I think it's just the power port on the suppressor went bad, as the pc's been working on it for 23 1/2 month's now.
Another thing that happened earlier this morning while I was sleeping, is that my PC restarted on it's own.
It was at the Lock Screen when I woke up and I don't have anything on my PC that would restart it on it's own.
I restarted numerous times since Tuesday's Patch Tuesday updates, so Windows wasn't the culprit, unless if Microsoft rushed out a hidden update yesterday or early today before 9 A.M..
Assuming the restart was a precursor to the surge suppressor port going bad.
My alarm clock would've been blinking if there was a power outage, as it's the only thing not plugged into a surge suppressor in my room.
As far as the games occasionally I play them.

Just got my medical curveball for the year.
Just left my retina specialists office.
Now on top of diabetic retinopathy and cataracts, I also have glaucoma now and my left eye's retina is severely thin.
I already can't see out of the right eye.
Time to look into seeing if Florida's Division of Blind Services will cover getting Sebastian trained to be my seeing eye dog, too.
Now, I get to go see another eye doctor next month to take care of the cataracts & glaucoma.
Looking like dual eye surgeries in each eye in late July or August.

I meant dad's not dad's. Oops, I either wasn't paying attention or I was tired. Probably both, as I'm always tired lately.

No part buying oe saving for this month.
I did get Faqllout New Vegas Ultimate yesterday on the Steam sale.
Tomorrow is all Sebastian's yearly shot's.
Someone at one of my doctor's offices made a suggestion to me today, too.
They told me to look into getting Sebastian labelled some sort of medical assistant, so he can go on the bus with me.
Worth looking into as I also have Glaucoma now, too.

I remember when I bought this motherboard that I bought a usb 3.0 to use 2.0 adaptor cable for one of the ports on the motherboard itself.
I can't technically remember the name for that cable.
I'm gonna need to get a 2nd one of those for the new motherboard, but slightly different.
The mobo has 2 usb 2.0 port connectors on the bottom _ those I'm ok on
The mobooo middle right side has a USB 3.1 gen 2 port _ I'm gonna need a usb 3.0 to use 3.1 gen 2 adaptor for that port
The mono has a USB 3.1 gen 1 port on the bottom - I'm assuming my current usb 2.0 to use 3.0 adaptor cable will work on that one.
Can anyone tell me what the usb 3.0 to use 3.1 gen 2 adaptor cable is actually called, so I can get one from Newegg ?

Phew. ! I haven't read through this thread, but it must be coming up to a record. Almost 2000 posts on one subject!! (and dating back quite a while)

Actually now, I'm in the slow process of upgrading the original build this post was on.
CPU's out of the way.
Mobo, ram, video card and monitor upcoming into next year for the last two.
Probably won't have the mobo, ram, AM4 adaptor for my water cooler and a new Windows 10 Pro license.
Hopefully, but doubtful I can swing those before December.
I have cataract & glaucoma surgery coming in December, so I won't be able to see clear for awhile after the eye surgeries.
I can't get eye drops in my eyes, so they're gonna do surgery for the glaucoma.

I could do that and I know easily be able to get it, even without the eye stuff.
I've got a lot of different nerve damage from the diabetes.
A: Gastroparesis - doesn't cost pain, it just takes like 12 hours for food to digest.
B; Something they call trigger finger - painful finher and hand lockups in my left hand, all it usually takes is moving my left thumb and it and my fingers freeze up, looking like I'm doing Robin Williams' Na-Noo, Na-Noo feom Mork & Mindy in the 70's. Only difference is they're locked up for up too 5 minutes like that and extremely painful.
C: This one was the one of the symptoms I had before knowing I had diabetes when I was 12, my calves in both legs lockup, sometimes with my feet bending straight down, like I'm doing ballet. The difference is they're locked up like that and extremely painful.
That one restarted happening New Year's day of 2017, 3 days before I broke my lower left leg and ankle last January.
Since the left leg/ankle fractures, it only happens in the right leg. When, I couldn't stand on my left leg and it happened in the right leg, I'd automatically fall down from it.
That last one's the most frequent one, pretty much happens anytime I walk 1/8 of a mile or ride my bike.
The thing I have on my side, is from the leg cramp's at 12, I've become overly pain tolerant and by the time I feel pain, most people would be calling it a 10 by then.
I didn't fee the pain with my leg/ankle fractures for the first 2 hours. I was more pissed a the lady who's dog attacked me, while riding my bike, biting my right lega and causing the fractures, laughing about it.
I finally felt pain when the 1st hospital's e.r. poured about 3 gallons of alcohol on my cuts on both sides of my ankle from it going through my skin.
Once they used that alcohol on me, I was in constant pain the whole time I was in the 2nd hospital I was transferred to for my surgery.
The orthopedic surgeon said I had the worst fractures he'd seen in his entire career.
With all that I can easily get medical marijuana, but then everyone would be breaking into my room to steal it, when I'm not home.
I'm the only non-druggie/non-alcoholic wher I live and I'm kind of stuck there because of having Sebastian and it pretty much being extremely difficult to rent a room in a house with a full grown 77 lb. dog.
He stays with me and won't eat for anyone, if I'm in the hospital, etc.
