Outlook Express Problem

I have been using OE for many years and think I know how to use it. Today, however, I can't seem to get it to load a page so I can write an email. When I go to "new" as in new email, nothing comes up for me to write my message. The top menu bar says, Send - but there is no place for me to write my message so there is nothing to send. I know I'm getting up in years but I think I know how to operate this software. Do you suppose this is a virus problem? I don't know what to think. Thanks for any thoughts.

You could try running a repair on it. Also Outlook Express has been end of life for a long time. You may want to consider moving to an email client that receives update such as Thunderbird — Software made to make email easier.

The email account is fine it's just the software you're using to access the email that is no longer supported.

Outlook express is the software that is end of life. If your email account is gmail and you want to just access it through a web browser that will work too.
