Windows 7 Smaller border/spacing around thumbnails?

So I have folders containing pictures and videos and when using thumbnail view I would like there to be less spacing between each thumbnail to be able to see as many at once and as large as possible.

A couple tweaks I would like to be able to do...
1. The filename wrote on a single line, being cutoff if too long instead of a bunch of new lines.
2. Removal of the selection checkbox (on the top left of the thumbnail).
3. No padding on the left/right side of the thumbnail. (you can see this when an item is selected, the blue border has 3 or so pixels spacing before the thumbnail)
4. No padding on the left side of the the first column.
5. Removal of the "associated program" icon on the bottom right of the thumbnail. (ie the wmp icon on videos)

Any ideas?
