The USB TV tuner worked well under the beta release, but has died with the RC. I have tried re-installing the Toshiba drivers for Vista, but I get a message from Media Center telling me that no tuner can be found. Has anyone had a similar problem? Were you able to fix it?

Solution
It seems like there may be compatibility issues with the USB TV tuner and the Release Candidate (RC) version of Windows. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem with the USB TV tuner not being detected: 1. Check Device Manager: - Open Device Manager and check if the USB TV tuner is listed under "Sound, video and game controllers" or "Other devices." If it's listed with a warning icon, there may be a driver issue. 2. Update Drivers: - Try updating the drivers for the USB TV tuner. You can check the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers compatible with the RC version of Windows. 3. Compatibility Mode: - You can try installing the Toshiba drivers in compatibility mode...

Right-click on the driver installation file, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box for running in compatibility mode for Windows Vista. 4. Check Tuner Software: - Ensure that the software that came with the USB TV tuner is also compatible with the RC version of Windows. Update the software if needed. 5. Check Windows Media Center Settings: - In Windows Media Center, go to Settings > TV > Set Up TV Signal. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the TV tuner again. 6. Hardware Check: - Test the USB TV tuner on another computer to verify if the issue is with the tuner itself or with the compatibility on your current system. 7. Community Support: - Search online forums or the manufacturer's support site to see if others have encountered similar issues with USB TV tuners on the RC version of Windows. If you try these steps and still encounter issues, you may need to consider alternative solutions or contact the manufacturer's support for further assistance.
