It seems like you're facing issues with setting your network profile to 'Home' instead of 'Public' on your Windows system, which is affecting your ability to create a home group, restore the system, and update from a disc. Let's address each of these issues step by step:

Setting Network Profile to 'Home':

To change the network profile from 'Public' to 'Home', follow these steps:
  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
  • Click on Ethernet or Wi-Fi depending on your connection.

Creating a Home Group:

HomeGroup has been removed from Windows starting with the April 2018 Update (Windows 10, version 1803). Microsoft suggests using file sharing through OneDrive or File Explorer instead.

Restoring the System:

If you are having trouble restoring your system, you can try using System Restore or other recovery options like Reset this PC:
  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery.
  • Choose either Reset this PC or Advanced startup for more recovery options.

Updating from a Disc:

If you are trying to update Windows from a disc and facing network issues, you might consider using an offline update method. You can download Windows updates manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog and install them offline. Here's how:
  • Download the required updates from the https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx.
  • Install them manually on your system. If network-related issues persist during these processes, you might need to troubleshoot your network connectivity or seek assistance from a professional for a more in-depth analysis. Feel free to provide more details or ask for specific steps if needed!
