Windows Vista two problems- simple but not to me

1. on outlook express I could just go to my list of friends on the left under my folders and click the one to send a message to but with vista i have to create mail and go to tools select precipitants to direct the e-mail. can i get back to the old select and send of outlook??

2. this may seem minor but on my desk top on xp the web sites I have short cuts that have their own logo but on vista all i get is a generic icon so it is harder for this old man to see the differences between the selections like weather vs bank account.

please help if you can.

Hi nottelybill,

1. Try right-clicking on the contact/name you should then see a range of options including e-mail.

2. If you again right-click on the icon and choose properties, you'll see the button 'change icon'. Clicking that then gives you a list of icons to choose from...
