It seems like you are facing connectivity issues with your Windows XP computer when trying to access the internet through your D-Link DIR-600 router with Parental Control enabled. Let's address the possible causes of the problem and how you can troubleshoot it:

Possible Causes of the Issue:

  1. Parental Controls Restrictions: The message "There is no website" could indicate that Parental Controls on the router are blocking access to certain websites or services on the Windows XP computer.
  2. Router Settings: There might be specific settings on the D-Link DIR-600 router that are conflicting with the Windows XP computer's internet access.

  3. Compatibility Issues: Windows XP is an older operating system, and there might be compatibility issues with the router or modem configuration.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

  4. Check Parental Controls: Disable the Parental Controls on the router temporarily and see if the Windows XP computer can now access the internet. If it works after disabling Parental Controls, you may need to adjust the settings to allow access to the desired websites.
  5. Update Router Firmware: Ensure that your D-Link DIR-600 router is running the latest firmware version. Visit the D-Link website to download and install any available updates for your router model.
  6. Check Router Settings: Verify that there are no specific settings on the router (like Access Control Lists or URL filtering) that are blocking internet access for the Windows XP computer.
  7. Network Configuration: Double-check the network settings on the Windows XP computer. Ensure that it is obtaining IP address and DNS server settings automatically (unless manually configured).
  8. Compatibility Mode: You can try running the browser on the Windows XP computer in compatibility mode to see if that resolves the issue with accessing websites.
  9. Test on Another Computer: Try connecting a different device (like a smartphone or another computer) to the router to see if it can access the internet. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the Windows XP computer.

    Additional Considerations:

    • Internet Explorer Compatibility Settings: If you are using Internet Explorer on the Windows XP computer, check the compatibility settings to ensure that they are not causing any issues with website access.
    • Security Software: Disable any third-party security software temporarily on the Windows XP computer to rule out any interference with internet access. By following these steps and considering the mentioned factors, you should be able to diagnose and resolve the connectivity issues with the Windows XP computer accessing the internet through your D-Link DIR-600 router.
