I mean, wtf? I don't even know how it happened.

uddenly of icons on taskbar and start (I really mean all) are now looking like an Windows Media Player file. How do I remove it? Thanks for your answers in advance.

Hi

Did you try just rebooting?

Do you have a restore point before it happened?

You could try try right clicking in the background of the start menu and then select Customize in the Start Menu Tab and at the bottom click use default setting and see if they change back.

Hi MocniSkopac.

First I'd download the icon association fix from Link Removed - Invalid URL

After merging that into your registry delete the (hidden by default) iconcache.db file in your C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local folder.

Then through the disk clean up utility delete your Thumbnails cache. Finally reboot.

Let us know how it goes.

Yes.
I guess, I'm not sure, I never studied Win7 too much.

I don't understand which one should I download ? Is there a link to get them all together ? I must be blind

Glad you got sorted!!

FYI. The association fix you would have needed was the ico one.
