I'm having issue's in Windows 10 Pro x64 making system images. I've got Windows & Programs on a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB ssd. I created a folder in C:\Program Files(x86)\ named Games. I setup Disk Management to use this folder in Windows to store my Games on a Intel 530 Series 480GB ss I have.
My personal data (Contacts, Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Favorites, Links, Music, Pictures, Saved Games, Searches and Videos are all on a Seagate Barracuda 3.0TB hdd.
Everytime I run the Windows 7 Backup & Restore to make a backup & system image, the system image alway's fails.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
I'm gonna have this issue again in April, if I don't find a fix now as, I'm in the process of building a new pc and only have 2 parts left to get.
Thanks everyone.

I've only heard that 7 won't work with Intel's newest Skylake cpu's. I haven't heard that about 8.1.
I've also noticed a stupid Windows Store issue in 10 that didn't exist in 8 or 8.1.
If you reinstall your o.s. provided you store your settings in OneDrive 8 and 8.1 would automatically reinstall all the store (modern apps/games), you had installed.
10 doesn't do that, so you have to waste time going through your list, which could be hundreds as, if you have/had a windows phone, it's stuff is in the list, too and then remember what you had and click each to reinstall.
HUGE STUPID 10 HEADACHE.

**Re-Solved Again** Apparently it wasn't the System Image portion of Windows 10's Windows 7 Backup. I turned off the Backup making a image and it failed with custom settings and just my libraries selected. I changed the settings, unchecked my libraries and pointed Windows 10 to those libraries on my D: drive. Backup completed with no error's. Now I have to recheck the System Image option in it.
I made a system image late last night, so I'm good for this week.
