Dear all,
I am new here, so Hi!
I just woke up my PC and suddenly a unknown icon appeared on my taskbar.
An image from 'Unknown Icon on Taskbar + Auto Update Keeps Turning Off'. System tray icons showing Avast, volume muted, network, battery, and date/time info.

I cannot click it and when I point the cursor at it there is no description there.
Do you have any idea what could it be? It looks wireless-ish.

Also, there is one more thing - my Windows automatic update keeps turning off and I have no idea what to do about it? I tried to change the registry, but it didn't help. It keeps happening every hour or so. Anyone witht the same trouble?

Thank you for your further replies.
Best Regards,
DZimmy

Solution
  • Right Click on an empty spot on the taskbar
  • Select Properties
  • Under 'Notification Area' click Customize...
  • The icon and it's associated program should be in here and help you ID it to get rid of it
