Hi, I just bought my partner a new laptop for Christmas. It came with Windows 8 pre installed and has a sticker on it saying we can upgrade to Windows 10.
So we click on Windows update and shortly after are presented with this:
Windows Update Error Code: 80072EE2
We have tried to start it again but it just says failed and the same thing. The Microsoft 'help me' section it refers you to is rubbish and as I've googled the error code and I'm getting mixed results. Some people say it's something with the firewall, others say it's something to do with the registry, I just don't know where to begin as I don't want to mess it up as it's brand new, just out of the box and haven't done anything except try and get the latest update. Any ideas of where to start?
