My ISP promises speeds of 10 to100 Mb/s which to me is comparable to my local grocer promising 1 fl oz to 1 quart when I buy a quart carton of milk. I'll find out when I get home and the deal is done.
Yeah, right - the grocer would never get away with that, but ISP's do. There is reliable...

I don't understand this at all. Why did they take away this VERY important function? You can no longer drag and drop pictures to and from dropbox to a folder on your computer! This is so aggravating that I feel like throwing my computer in the trash. I cannot use skydrive. It won't link to it...

A question that has been bouncing around my head for years, is that when benchmarking any hard drive, it always produces the same general pattern...a gradually declining slope with regularly spaced dips across the entire slope.
I just don't understand why those dips exist, because it doesn't...
So, I got a new, larger SSD to put windows on.
I did a custom install. During the installation
I pressed shif-F10 to open cmd
then used
robocopy /copyall /mir /E /XJ C:\Users D:\Users
rmdir /S /Q C:\Users
mklink /J C:\Users D:\Users
I did the same with Program Files, Program Files (x86)...
I have a Mac Pro running OS X 10.8.4. It’s networked to a Win 7 machine. I can map the Mac to my Windows box and access files on the Mac from Windows. The machines connect through a switch and employ 10-dot IPs. No router. They are in the same workgroup with the same user account name and...

I have two WD External Hard Drives and I can't copy some things to them. I don't think it's my hard drive because I can copy 70 GB of pictures with no problem but when I try and copy about 40 GB of DVD programs I get an error message. I have an attachment.
1. Is there a difference between a clean and custom installation?
When considering a OS change from Vista 32 to Win 7/64 bit, which process should I be using? Or are the words clean/custom install more or less semantics and mean the same thing?
2. I have been looking at purchasing Win 7 Pro...

Greetings:
I have a faulting disk that needs replacement. I am considering replacing the disk with a SSD/HDD Seagate 750GB, 7500 RPM disk. I also want to install Win7/64 bit to replace the original Vista 32 bit OS. And upgrade the memory from 3 to 4 GB.
I am not computer savvy, but learning...

Hello all,
Ever wonder why your new SSD doesn't meet your benckmarking expectations when using tools like AS SSD and/or Crystal Disk Mark? Well, there are two reasons why this might happen. First and foremost, those programs' benchmarking algorithms are not clearly defined (eg, understood) and...

Hi!
I have a long list of cutomized autocorrect items and they are stored in MSO files. In previous Win versions the English items were saved in MSO1033, but Win 8 saves them in MSO2057. So when I transferred to Win 8, I renamed my old MSO1033 file to MSO2057. The problem, however, is that...

While attempting to set up for dual-booting with Linux, I used a free program that apparently messed up my Win7 MBR or structure of my sectors. I panicked because I couldn't see anything on the disk after that. I concluded in despair that everything was lost so I got a Win7 disk from a friend...
