Having backed up the Outlook Inbox, Sent Item, etc to pst files prior to the build of Windows 7 Home, I get this message when I try & import the data back into Outlook.
A Google search would indicate that this is a pretty common occurrence on other platforms as well but does anyone know why...
I have posted this question in two different CNET forums - "E-mail, chat, & VoIP" and "Windows 7" - but have received no response to either. Thought I might have more success here.

After much deliberation, I finally decided to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7. I breezed through the upgrade installation process but strangely, the programs I had pinned to the Start menu prior to installation were no longer there. I tried to customize this via the taskbar properties...

I realize that its gone (Outlook X) but why? It seemed like a great email client that worked well. I don't really like outlook itself and have been using gmail which is ok but the same. Is there another mail app that M/S suggests besides outlook?

As you know, Windows 7 comes without Outlook Express. I've been using Windows Live Mail but quite frankly I think it's shit. I've got it set to auto add people to the address book when I reply to them, but it doesn't do it. There are other problems but that one annoys me the most.
I tried...

I'm running W7 beta 7000 and Outlook from Office 2007 stopped loading for me.
Initially, it worked, but now it just thinks for about 5 sec and doesn't open. Everything else runs great in the office 2007 (word, excel, etc) except for Outlook 2007 not loading.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
Anyone using the Minefield beta x64 browser? I'm running it and it's been very stable. Web pages load faster, Minefield itself loads almost instantly. Also the Shredder email client ( aka Thunderbird x64). No problems with that either.
