Im confusing myself on these ntfs permissions.
Is there an easy way to allow a specific group rw access to one file in a folder full of other files but only have ro access on all other files...without changing the permissions on each file?

Hello people,
I have had a problem for months now, that sometimes data wouldn't copy or be deleted if they had anything to do with installing before. For example, if a program autoupdates itself and downloads his new .exe, then it might be unable to delete the old one, and the update failed...

In Windows 7, you know, The "Olden days", when I asked the computer to delete a file, a window would open up and say something to the effect of "do you really want to delete this file?" I liked that. If I am working really fast, and I usually am, I like having my machine slow me down just a tad...
hi all!
If you're like me, sometimes corrupt files make navigating a folder a huge headache. I'm trying to organize thousands of files, and amalgamate all files onto one hard drive.
What I would like, is some app, or method, that tracks down potential problem files, and deletes them or...

Hello,
I have some basics of programming but I don’t really know anything about Windows 7 scripting, so here’s my question:
How can I make it so that a specific file (FNTCACHE.DAT if you’re interested but I doubt it’s important) is deleted everytime I shut down Windows?
I guess it would have...

A Word document suddenly changes into a 'read only' file which cannot be saved or deleted. I have 'saved' under different file names as instructed, but as a result I now have 10 versions of the document, 9 of which I don't want! The 'Help' file says go to 'Properties' and untick the 'read only'...
I have this backup software (GENIE9) that doesn't work. The vendor tell me I have to delete
some files that are in C:\users/programs/appdata. The problem is: even though I am the administrator, I cannot even view what is in that folder, much less delete any files within
it.
The vendor (GENIE9)...
Hi guys,
For security reasons, I had turned off/disable some features on my Windows 7, i.e: Prevent installed programs, disable command prompt and batch files, disable access to registry files, disable snap-in, disable taskmanager, and last disable regedit.
I need a windows script to run these...

I don't know how Speedbit got into my computer but it keeps hijacking both my homepage and default search engine. This is not a browser issue though, the filth is in my System folders (I run Win 7 Ultimate x64, but this is in the x86 segment).
