I've eliminated Hiberfil.sys, removed Recovery Image, and moved the Pagefile to another drive.
The thing that really puzzles me is how much space it used for System Volume...
I'm running regular backups on my Windows 7 computer. My destination for most backups is a USB 3.0 hard drive. I have several internal hard drives that I also use, but I'm using the USB drive so that I can totally isolate the backup files from anyone out there who wants to do harm to my system...

Hi
I came to my attention today that some people seem to have much smaller Windows 10 installs then I do.
I don't have any software in my C:\ drive other then a few really small things like CCleaner etc.
I have W10 installed on a 100 Gb partition.
It uses 63 Gb of that.
Only 10 of those are...

Hi
I'm not really having a problem, but I don't understand why my D:\ drive shows as 2 drives in Disk Manager.
I got this way when I tried to move space from what was my Windows 8 C:\ drive to the D:\ partition.
If you click Properties you get the same information for either one, which show it...
Hi
Yesterday I was getting tight on space for my Windows 10 software etc, this is not the drive that Windows 10 is installed on.
It's a separate partition on the same drive that Windows 8 is installed on.
I decided to shrink my G:\ drive which is the Windows 8 partition, and move the space to...

At a basic level choosing to upgrade to the next build in Windows 10 Tech Preview is almost like an upgrade to a new os. This leaves behind such folders as windows.old which usually contain files that were used in your previous version of Windows.
If like me you use an SSD then every GB is...

My computer system is windows8. When I try to download something or just run some programs, a warning would show up and said that I have low disk space. How can I clear my disk space? Also, I wonder a simple disk defragmentation could be enough. Many thanks.
