Windows 7 Remove dual boot and use XP mode

Now that I have used XP Mode enough to feel safe with it, I want to remove the dual boot from my system. My boot drive has two partitions. Drive C boots to Windows 7 and D boots to XP. If I format drive D will I still be able to boot up in Windows 7? Thanks in advance, Cygnus333 (Chris)

    Windows 7 Dual boot question

Hi, I have XP Pro 32bit installed on a 160Gb Sata disc and I wanted to install the 64bit version of Windows 7 on another disc. My question is to protect my XP install should I disconnect the disc or is it safe to leave them both connected and just run a dual boot system. Cheers J.

Windows 7 "Could not reconnect all network drives" Problem

Hello all: I've found several others having the same problem as I on this and other forums but no answer yet. I have a home network that includes an XP-based home server of sorts. I hang my Drobo off that server and share it to my home Network. On all my other PC's I access it as my "N" drive...

Windows 7 Long Hang Times, Too Long...

I'm trying to install Windows 7 32-bit build 7000 on a new computer I had just built. Now, this is not because I'm choosing to, but because I couldn't install Windows Vista Home Premium either. I had to settle for something. What happens is that my computer is booting regularly into the DVD...

Windows 7 XP won't cooperate with Windows 7 drive

I have Windows XP Pro installed on my 120GB. I had the bright idea of dual booting Windows 7. So, I decided I would put that on the 320GB. Windows 7 worked fine but would not dual boot with the XP install. The XP install is intact, but the only way to boot it is to unplug the 320GB Windows 7...

Windows 7 Windows 7/xp dual booting

So, thinking about installing windows 7 on the laptop (ASUS m50vm), from what I understand the drivers are detected fine, and little to no issue to be had with the install. Now i'm curious, as the only time I ever dual-booted, was with linux, which hated ntfs at the time, so if Iwere to...

Windows 7 A question about dual booting

All right, say I installed W7 from a DVD onto a partition on my hard drive... (I'm gonna give it 20 GB, since my HD is 640 GB) Would I be able to make it so that my computer would automatically choose my 64-bit Vista OS to boot without prompting me? My reason for this is that my mom is really...
