Mayb on eof the admins could take some time to make a list of reported files....but to be honest they should only bother with RTM, not beta since thats too many extra variables.
I have just run through the posts. Here ae the reported non working apps. None ar verified. Could be other factors involved (pirated software, different flavours of Windows 7 etc) There are no so many. I think, if the thread is to be succesful, it is better that posters stick to the thread title ( Do
not install). most of the posts list software that
worked, and several of the remainder are just observations of other posts.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 Standalone (Kills Windows Update)
Daemon Tools (causes hard errors, possibly making the OS unusable)
G-Data Antivirus 2009 (Causes irreparable system crash)
MagicDisk (Can cause both hard and soft errors, conflicts with OS resources)
SlySoft's Virtual Clonedrive
Alcohol 52 doesn't work
Paessler PRTG Free
O&O Defrag Professional:
CamStudio
Adobe Audition 1.5
Partition MagicAgnitum Outpost
Tunebite Platinum
BOINC World Community Grid
Daemon tools- killed WinExplorer TOTALY
Magic disc -jammed explorer also
Power ISO work but only for mount disc
Adobe master collection (?) work normaly Dont know about W update becouse in my case is turned off
SwishMax2 freeze computer when saving finished movie
PhotoModeler Scanner (6.2) sometime works sometime dont
FolderLock- DO NOT install- version for Vista locks folder you want but also lock itself
Fugawi navigator 4.2 can not import maps
Norton : McAfee: Zone Alarm : These three install and appear to work normally, But give problems in other areas. Also a good idea, perhaps, to have a quick look through the thread and see if there is a previous report on the particular software you are listing. As 80% of the above is pretty much specialist tird party, I would say Windows 7 is a success story
P.S. Just added your thre, Drew. Porbaby, out of the list, the most frequently used!
