Just bought a brand new HP desktop from Best Buy yesterday in part to be able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X on it. The computer came pre-loaded with Windows 7. I loaded up FSX with no problems, and it seems to work pretty well until it just randomly crashes. It has crashed maybe 6-7 times in three hours of play.
It crashes most often when I am fiddling with different views (opening up new ones or re-sizing existing one). Here is the computer I bought:
Link Removed - Invalid URL
Has:
AMD Phenom II X4 2.6 ghz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon 4200 - 256 gb Video card
750 GB Sata Hard Drive
I haven't run any updates such as SP1 or SP2. Maybe this will fix the problem? I've also considered upgrading to a 1GB video card, but I"m not sure this will help.
Thoughts??
Thanks,
Mike
