Hi guys(and girls)
I have an acer 5742g laptop config:
Intel i5 [email protected]
4 gb ddr3 ram
nvidia geforce gt 420m 1gb
I'm running w7 home premium 64-bit
Now I only play cs 1.6 and untill recently my fps was steady at 99-100 but now my fps
drops to 30-70 without any reason during the game.
I've tried a lot of things,1st I scanned the whole sistem with malwarebytes, hitmanpro and avg free, didn't find anything, next I updated my drivers still nothing,I reinstalled steam,I even thought it was a problem with my mouse drivers so I even bought a new mouse still nothing. Also tried stuff like disabling the audio drivers, turning vsync off-on-off-on,I set the prioty of hl.exe to high then to low, also tried setting it to use only 1 core.
My graphic settings are set to performance, and in windows the power managment is set to high performance and still it drops. It gets even worse when I turn on TS3 which I need because I play a lot of cws.
Hope you can help
p.s. my laptop is not overheating I have a cooler and the temp. are fine
