Hi all,

I have recently wiped both my drives and reinstalled windows taking care to get all necessary drivers and windows updates. Despite this I am still getting regular BSODs and I don't know what to do next to fix it. Please help.

I have attached the necessary file

Hi,
although most of the dump files you sent have the same bugcheck they each blame something different. This is...
Code:

Hi,
although most of the dump files you sent have the same bugcheck they each blame something different. This is usually a sign of hardware failure typically RAM but without delving deeper I won't know for sure.

BiosVersion = F6
BiosReleaseDate = 04/17/2013
There is a bios update available. Please ensure you have the correct motherboard revision for the download (either 2.00 or 2.1) normally the revision number is written on the motherboard itself.

If after making the above changes you still get a bsod then you need to test your RAM.
Download and mount this app to a disk (or USB if you wish):
http://www.memtest.org/
You'll then need to boot off the disk so that the RAM can be tested outside of the windows environment. Run for at least a few passes.

Post any new dump files.

Solution
HI thanks for the thorough reply.

Upon attempting to download the F6 BIOS upgrade it says that I don't have the right verison of windows (32 bit when I have 64 bit) so I was unable to perform that update. Is there an alternative update?

Heres also another File as i've had one more blue screen.

Hi,
thanks for the new dump files although nothing new was revealed.

Please follow the changes outlined above.

In order to update your Bios try using the @bios utility although make sure you right click on it and run as admin. You can find the app in the utility section:

Hi, Thanks again for the reply. despite downloading @bios and running both the bios update and @bios as an administrator I was still unable to get the F6 bios update. I have installed all the other updates and run memtest for 5 passes with 0 errors

In the past I have sent away my motherboard and graphics card and testing to the vendor for tests and they both came back fine. I also had windows installed briefly on only my SATA drive which potentially rules out my SSD drive.

Hi,
this is a infrequent bugcheck and can be down to drivers, harddrive errors and malware.

If you have further bsod's after updating the bios then try running this app:
https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Run a chkdsk on your SSD, I've checked on this myself as I run an SSD and it's perfectly fine to do so.

Just on your Bios a second, above you mention updating to F6 but you already have F6. Did you upgrade to F7a?

Hi,

i've Run checkdisk for my ssd and no errors came up. I have the F6 BIOS as F7a is beta. I uninstalled my current USB 3.0 driver and installed the one specified on the website. I recently had some bluescreens while playing a reasonably graphically intensive game (hawken) I will attempt a graphics card stress test and see if that gets me a bluescreen.

Thanks again

Upon downloading malwarebytes and running it once I thought one of the 6 or 7 objects identified was set to ignore so I decide to run the program again and bluescreened during the scan. Then upon trying to reopen the program it simply wouldn't open when clicking on the icon so I decided to uninstall and reinstall it. I even attempted a system restore to an hour ago and then tried installing it but that didn't help either. Is there another program I can use to rule out malware?

This lead me to this message upon installation:

Ok another update, I found a malwarebytes removal softare on the forums and ran it then reinstalled malwarebytes rana scan and quarantined 5 articles and ran the scan again and found nothing. No bluescreens so far, will keep updates.

These are 2 BSODs I had most recently in quick succesion since the changes i made were implemented

Hi,
same 3B bugcheck.

How did the stress test go?

Find command prompt in the start menu, right click on it and run as admin. Type:
sfc /scannow
Press enter and await results.

The beta bios you mention might be worth a try as it:
  1. Improve High-End Display card compatibility
Gigabyte boards have a back up bios so it's quite difficult to mess it up.

Hi,

I ran the GPU stress test fur mark for 15 minutes and nothing happened.

I just ran sfc /scannow and bluescreened during it (here is the file). I'll run it again and see if the same thing happens.

Hi,
for some reason out of the last two dump files sent only one would open. Please resend if you can. In the meantime I found another driver.
