I found some information that might help you resolve the missing DVD/CD drive device driver issue during the Windows 7 installation on your Dell Optiplex GX280: 1. Adding Intel Chipset Drivers: A user faced a similar issue and was able to resolve it by adding Intel Chipset drivers to the USB key used for installing Windows 7. During the setup, they clicked on the "Load Drivers" button on the drive page and pointed to the Vista 32-bit drivers which can be downloaded from Intel. After selecting and installing the drivers, they were able to proceed with the installation successfully. You can find the drivers from the following link: http://is.gd/HsXi-. 2. Diskpart: Using diskpart to ensure that everything is set up correctly can also be beneficial. You can launch a command at any time during the setup by pressing SHIFT + F10. Try integrating the Intel Chipset drivers into your Windows 7 installation media and follow the steps mentioned above during the installation process. This method should assist in resolving the driver-related issue you are encountering. If you encounter any difficulties or need further assistance, feel free to ask for help!
