Windows 7 Win 7 Premium install?

I was going to install Win7 Premium on an Acer T180 desktop.My 140 gb hdd is partitioned C and D of 70 gbs each.I was going to install Win7 on the D drive but I was afraid it might mess up my E recovery hidden partition.Does this sound like a good plan?I wish I had a way I could burn off my hidden partition.Can this be done?

70 GB is fine , buy you'll have to install all your 3rd partry programs to the D: drive as Windows 7 will be listed ad C:

Are you saying that I'd be doing a custom install on my c drive or would Win7 install automatically install itself on my C partition?

Yes Windows 7 will change the drive letter,but it will still install on the 70 GB partition
