Well my problem is before I moved my internet worked perfectly, but now that I moved and left my old cisco switch at my old house the internet does not work. If I go pick up that switch and use it instead of this belkin one it would work. Why would that happen? I tired all of that inconfig stuff...
I have the Cisco Systems Linksys WMP54G Wireless-G PCI Adapter on my PC. Every so often, Windows feels that the drivers need to be reinstalled or something. I get a message telling me that the drivers were not successfully installed. Okay. So I completely reinstall the software from the CD. But...
DD-WRT is a firmware upgrade for routers. It is open source. It was originally designed for Cisco/Linksys routers, but now works on a number of routers. Recently I had some DNS problems, and one of the great benefits of DD-WRT is that it allows you to run your own DNS server off the router...

Running Win7 with Linksys router WRT54G, and have tried to set up the wireless to connect with laptop. Add |Devices does not allow adding another computer. Cisco/Linksys is of no help without paid support. LELA does not work with W7, go figure. Laptop is running Vista. Had no probs with...

Ok first off how good is windows7:D Installed and running fine for a week as my primary OS.
I'm a bit stumped, ever since installing it I've noticed the throughput on my home network isn't as good like it was with vista:eek: Odd I know because well know what that was like.
I've disable...
My laptop has an Intel 3945ABG wireless card. I have used my laptop with wireless internet in uni without any problem at all. I think all the APs in uni are Cisco (Linksys).
But when I came back home this time, I have a problem with my home wireless internet. I have a Netgear WG602 v3 AP and...
Hello all,
I am trying to RDP to a server that is on a different internal subnet.
basic information:
My networks are LAN-to-LAN (connected via IPSEC VPN tunnels with CISCO firewalls).
Basically, any computer in our domain can RDP to any other computer, regardless of what network they are...
On finding that Windows 7 has a built in VPN client, I've been trying to get it to connect to our Cisco PIX. However, so far no luck. Our Cisco VPN client will not operate on Vista or Windows 7. The tunnelling protocol is IPSec/UDP. I am not a networking expert by a long shot. I just thought...
I recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. When I go into network sharing, the computer does not see my NAS drive nor does it see the other computer on the network which is running XP and vice versa.
I've tried everything to get it to recognize the NAS and the other computer to no avail...

I have a old T30 Type 2367-84U laptop with .5gig mem .
Windows 7 is up and running but the system does not recognize the wireless network built in card.
From the Lenovo site, it sounds like its a Cisco Wireless LAN Mini PCI card but I dont know for sure.
The Intel Lan port is working fine...
When Vista came out.....no LEAP protocol....months later, finally, a KB allowed Intel ProSet to show LEAP as a security protocol option (Windows6.0-KB932063-x86).
Fast forward: Win 7 Beta....again, out of the box, no LEAP.....why not? WEP and No authentication are both options, and are low /...

Anyone figure out how to use Cisco LEAP on Windows 7? Normally on Vista, you install the Intel ProSet utils and LEAP is then available as an authentication protocol - but that is not true on Windows 7 - it's a pain to use wired networking at work --- WPA2 works fine at home.
I read an interesting post on Link Removed - Invalid URL (author of Cisco Network Security, Little Black Book), and he says Cisco is not going to support Windows Vista 64-bit. He recommends using NCP Secure Entry Client.
Does anyone use NCPs product? If so, how is the support? And is it...
Haven't seen this in any of the threads, so thought I would post it here. I have a small network running at home. 3 XP desktops, 3 Vista desktops, XP laptop, and a linux box all wired connections to a Cisco router. I also have a linksys WRT54G AP configured for WPA for my wireless devices...
