People at various times run into mysterious problems that have no apparent source but are eventually found out to be caused by the innocent use of a file named "aux.txt" or any one of the other reserved file names. It isn't realistic to expect that all users of such an ubiquitous system as...

We’ve just published an update to the Console UWP App project templates on the Visual Studio marketplace here. The latest version (v1.5) adds support for C#. The C# template code only works with Visual Studio 2017 version 15.7 or later. In a previous post, I described how to build a simple...

I'll keep this brief because Windows has wasted a fair portion of my life for various reasons.
Is there no utility that cuts through the stupidity of not being able to TURN OFF "Read-only" folders and files contained within MY file system FORCING them to STAY write-able?
I ask about a utility...

I inadvertently saved a file to the wrong folder. When I did that the new file replaced the document of the same name in the folder that was still active on my save button.
Is there anyway I can restore that file? Please advise

Hi all,
I just upgraded from Windows 10 32bits to 64. I used an external hard drive for that and of course, I didn't think about it, everything is gone. Some of it wasn't backed up, so I'd like to get the data back if possible, it'd mean the world to me. My little bit of hope is that my hard...

Hello.
My DVD+RW with UDF is suddenly write-protected despite I have never finalized it.
I just used it normally, and on the next day, it was suddenly write-protected.
I need 8GB free device space so I did a little analysis and I can't do that; my windows folder (pc/Acer/windows) is taking up 24.8 GB out of 28GB how can I solve this?
Is this even normal? Can I even solve this?
I would really appreciate your help.:chuncky:

Last week i posted about slow boot time. I was asked to check free space and had about 300gb left. Well this morning, my laptop had a warning message saying 0 bytes free of 909gb. I checked and sure enough, 0 bytes free. Wtf is going on? Thanks Sent from my SM-S920L using Tapatalk
