Hi guys, I have a problem about booting my laptop. Every time I start my computer, this message was displayed on my screen:
"Broadcom UNDI PXE-2.1 v10.0.9
Copyright (c) 2000-2006 Broadcom Corporation
Copyright (C) 1996-2000 Intel Corporation
All Right Reserved.
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Broadcom PXE ROM.

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key_"

Can anybody help me out in this situation and give me solution? I tried rebooting my computer but it doesn't work, I'm not a computer geek.

The more common issues are
  • That you may have a cd/dvd or usb drive in the computer and you have one of those at a higher boot priority than your HDD.
  • Failed HDD (Access your BIOS/UEFI and see if a HDD is detected) Some BIOS will also have a DFT (Drive fitness test) to check for HDD failures
