I really don't like the default logins for my windows 8.1 computer, as in I select a user from a list and it pops up a new screen and you enter the password then login. I would much prefer you type in the username, and then type the password. I am wondering if there is someway to do that through internal or external programs. Maybe be able to customize what appears before the username/password box's and how many there? that would be nice, along with a custom background, which I know you can do, although fairly hard to do. If anyone knows of anyways, or anything close to this that would be nice. I don't know if this is the right website for this, if it isn't any pointers would be nice.

Solution
You can use the netplwiz to log into a default account without needing to put the password in each time but thats about as good as it gets.

If you don't know what that means, type... netplwiz into the run box and uncheck the box in the Window that opens, that requires a password to log in.
