First of all, hello guys. Im lurking those forums for a long time, and I found it very helpful in all kind of problems. But now I decide to finaly post something :)

Second, id like to represent my problem. Components are:

phenom II x4 960t
asus M5A78L / USB3
powercolor radeon 6790 1gb
2x4gb ddr3 1333Mhz patriot
Hitachi 320gb sata
WD 320gb ATA
Creative x-fi xtreme music

In a last few weeks my computer gone crazy. A lot of freezes, no matter what Im doing (idleing, listening to the music, playing games, browsing internet) and ocasionaly some BSODs. Tbh I realy dont know what to do. Reinstalled windows, updated bios to latest version (1103), updated all drivers. Ive also tried Memtest in boot mode running over night (almost 12 hours) and no errors reported. Scanned hard drive for errors in HD tune pro - without errors. Ran Prime95 for 4 hours - without any errors. And im running out of ideas now. Tonight while I was sleeping I got 0x124 blue screen and it freaked me out and in the same time motivated to ask for help here. Minidumps are attached

You're using an Sony Ericsson Device 1039 USB Ethernet Emulation (NDIS 5)
I'm not familiar with these devices - but I do know that wireless USB devices will cause BSOD's in Win7 systems.
Is there another way that you can connect to the internet (so you can remove this device and it's drivers to test?)?
Please provide a link to the actual device at the manufacturer's website so we can see more details about it.

This device is disabled:
Not Available ACPI\ATK0110\1010110 This device is disabled.
It must be enabled and you must have the 2009 or later driver for it (the 2004/5/6 and 2007 versions will cause BSOD's)

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [DEL] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/DEL] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads
Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Link Removed - Invalid URL

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please un-install all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Un-install a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Link Removed - Invalid URL (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Uninstall". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

There are 3 unknown drivers:
s1039cm.sys Tue Nov 17 17:16:09 2009 (4B0320A9)
s1039cr.sys Tue Nov 17 17:19:39 2009 (4B03217B)
s1039wh.sys Tue Nov 17 17:07:04 2009 (4B031E88)
I believe that the belong to the Sony Ericson device. Please update them.

Creative Audio drivers date from 2008 - please update to a Win7 compatible version or un-install it and remove the device from your system.

1. Sony ericsson software/drivers are only to transfer pics/videos from mobile to pc. For internet im using LAN port with regular router.
2. I didnt overclock anything, and also never did that :)
3. Creative driver is actualy PAX MASTER PCI XFI Driver Suite V1.50 (unofficial driver downloaded from PAX MASTER PCI XFI ALL OS Driver Suite V1.50 Released - Discussion ) I just want to mention that I had same freezes even with drivers from creative download section, so I doubt thats the problem
4. Ill try to do everything else. Remove that software, sony ericsson drivers, enable adn find driver for ACPI and see what will happen

Also ive just found in event viewer for a first time a message from this morning BSOD:

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error
Processor ID: 0

maybe thats the problem and MB is dieing slowly

A Machine Check Exception is the orignal name for the errors detected by the CPU or the logic on the motherboard (it was a STOP 0x9C). That error has been replaced with the STOP 0x124 error (WHEA Uncorrectable Error). That was the last BSOD that you had - and it's at the top of the list of BSOD summaries in my last post (just search for 124 )

It doesn't mean that the motherboard is dying - but it does mean that we have to look for hardware problems after we finish up looking at the 3rd party driver issues.

Just FYI - there's a number of different viewpoints about these errors and we've (BSOD analysts) have discussed them to death. We still don't agree on the involvement of 3rd party drivers in these errors - and now we're starting to wonder if there's issues due to plug-ins that pshed.dll uses.

I get notified by email when you post, so I'll be back then.

Good luck!

ok, to reply on this thread :) Somehow I managed to find and install driver for ACPI/ATK0110 device, and got brand new Seasonic 500w PSU (replaced old Codegen 600w) and now over a month I have stabile machine without freezes BSODs etc. Id never thought that those 2 things can cause so many problems. Thx Usasma for ur support :)
