Windows 7 Verify the network security key for "network"

Hey guys-

I have an interesting problem. I'm running W7 and can connect to my wireless network fine when I have no security, but when I apply my WEP encryption my W7 laptop won't connect. It says I need to verify the key and I am 100% sure the key is correct.

Any suggestions?

AMD Turion64 x2
1GB Ram
Reltek 8185 Extensible Wireless card

Router:

Lynksys WRT54G
WEP encryption


I know all my drivers in my router are up to date and the key is good. I have another laptop running vista that connects just fine.
