I have the same problem as most of the other posters here. I've tried all the suggestions, but none of them seemed to work. So, I'm using Bitstream Font Manager now to see and manage my fonts. It works fine. I don't even look at the stupid font folder anymore -- it's just too frustrating.
Do you think this problem might come from Windows 7 trying to handle older, Type 1 fonts?
