I have a Dell Studio 14z and ever since upgrading to Windows 7 from Vista we have had nothing but issues with the unit. Recently, we have started to experience shutdown issues along with periodically it freezes on the desktop for 2-5 minutes and then continues on. I would like to first resolve the shutdown issues so I am attaching the minidump zip file as suggested in other posts. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Uninstall Kaspersky in safe mode using the tool found here:

AV Uninstallers - Windows 7 Forums

Reboot and install MSE.

Enjoy.

It would be good to update your VPN Client software too, but the problem was from above.

Solution
Is there any other workaround? Unfortunately Kaspersky is a corporate AV for the business. I have other PC/Laptop units running Windows 7 and Kaspersky with no issues. I will look into updates for the Cisco VPN client as well.

Thanks.
