Hi there,
Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes.
I have a Samsung NP9000 model NP900X4C-A05AU. It regularly crashes due to full memory. It has 8G of RAM, running Windows 8.1. It's done this since day 1 - I managed to remove some Samsung bloatware that mitigated the problem...
Been looking at a Lenovo laptop that is one of those ones that has Win 7 Pro 64bit installed when you get it, but has Win 8 license embedded I guess on the mobo so it's ready to upgrade to 8 which I'm not interested in doing.
My question is this... how do I obtain the license keys for the copy...
On my laptop, I run a program (can't think of the name) that warns me of all attempted changes to anything.
I'm getting the following notice, which I deny, as I think it is asking to delete a vital Windows command.
cmd.exe / o/D /c del c:/users/me/appdaata/local/temp/O.del

OK so I did a search for Toolbar cleaners and...

On my 64 bit Windows 7 desktop, I used to have two Western Digital 500 GB drives, each with one partition (C: and D: respectively). But recently those two drives both started failing their self-tests; so I am replacing them with two 1 TB drives.
So then I'll have two partitions, C: and D...

If someone has a computer with extensive bloatware and simply wants to install an OEM version if Win 7, will it work without needing the OPK since the computer already had Windows on it?
This would be using a freshly formatted hard drive.
I have two HP laptops. One came with Win 7 Pro while the other has home edition. Is it possible to install the pro version on both the machines with the same installation disk.
I think since I own both the laptops and their respective OS, I might try to do that. The main reason is one has a...
I apologize if this question has been answered somewhere else, or seems too simple, but everything I've been reading about repair disks/recovery disks/etc has me completely confused.
After I got my new laptop, I installed antivirus, windows updates, etc, removed bloatware and installed the...

Just got a new Acer aspire laptop for christmas. Everything works fine except that every time I turn it on or wake it up, there's about a 10 minute period of non-stop disk activity that causes every other application to come to a grinding hault.
I downloaded process monitor and checked it out...
