Things I've tried (without effect):
- Disconnecting my router
- Disabling DHCP on the router
- Setting up a static IP...

Greetings!
Here's the issue: I've tried two different NIC's and they both do the same thing. One NIC was a PCI-E and the other is a USB. The internet just stops working, i.e. if you do a status on the adapter it says 'Internet not available.'
Now! If I disable the new adapter and enable the...

I was just browsing the new OS and wondering about a couple of network related items.
In the Network Connections dialog window, Connection - properties, there is an option for Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocols. Presently, it is not enabled, but from what I can gather, it will...
I have just installed a second NIC in a Windows 7 box. NLA identifies the second network with the same name as the first which makes it impossible to change the Network Discovery settings separately from the first network. Is there any way to force NLA to identify the second card as a...
When user is trying to monitor network using SNMP agent (SNMP Service) , it can not collect NIC name correctly. It is using ifAlias (.1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.18) If NIC name contains multi byte Characters, then, it fails to get NIC name using ifAlias

I am trying to set up Wake on LAN. My problem is that I keep losing power to my NIC when I shutdown the PC. If I hibernate, I can wake it up. But I want to shut the PC down totally, not hibernate. All the proper BIOS settings are enabled. All the proper NIC settings are enabled. All the power...
Hey everyone;
I recently built a computer and I'm using an integrated NIC (only because I'm too lazy to buy my own) on two PC's.
My current PC is right next to the router, with a patch (Straight-Through) cable running to Port 1 on the Verizon FiOS router, and the Internet speed is incredible...
