I have an issue with getting a completely black screen. I never see a desktop. I never even see the login screen. If I press the sleep button on the case, then start it back up, I see a mouse pointer too. But on first boot, there is no mouse pointer. Booting in safe mode has the exact same...
I get Windows 7 rebooting on its own under the following condition:

I bought a new Samsung notebook with a core i7 CPU and an (additional)

What else are the advantages of using the AMD Radeon display...

Hi,
I wanted to keep my Win 7 laptop running 7/24, so I selected "Never" under "Put computer to sleep" when plugged in in the Power Options. But the system keeps shutting itself down after idling for a few hours. Why??? Appreciate any suggestions.
When I go into Power options in the control panel it says "Chage plan settings" so I turn off my display after one hour and that's OK. Then it says "Put the computer to sleep" from 1 minute to 5 hours so what does that mean?
I have my power options set so when my laptop is plugged in my screen brightness is around 100%, and when unplugged it's around 30%. I've noticed on a number of occasions that if I turn the brightness up with my keyboard keys when it's unplugged Win 7 forgets what my screen brightness settings...

Works laptop, have admin rights.
I set the Power Options to Balanced but within a few hours it's back to the corporate one.
I presume this is a group policy setting somewhere.
As I have full admin rights, is there a regedit to stop this?
Cheers
