to date i have had a home network since windows 95
ENTER THE WORLD OF VISA/WINDOWS 7
1. start > control panel > home group = join home group
2. select what ever you you want to share
3. type in the password ( now comes the problem i never had one ever and my install is about 5 months old)
i got my daughter a lop top for her 18th when i set it up for her this one came up with a password for home network.
so using this password i now have a password for my desktop my laptop and her's.
but i dont want to connect via her lap top i want the network set up on the desk top so back to the desktop step 1,2,3 above as (3) is the only password i have.
All i get is your network must have ipv6 installed into network settings, so into network settings i go and yes it enabled, as far as i know ipv6 is only for large web addresses why do i need this on a home network.
any advice on this problem, thanks
all PC's and lap tops running Windozzz7
god why do microsoft mess things up Xp was a top system
