Actually the 5-Way Optimization is better. It first overclocks the cpu until it crashes, then goes to last speed before crash happened, then it checks all fan speeds, can benchmark them too, then it does epu and basically everything else.
It stresses the cpu at each change until it bsod's. Then after you close 5-Way Optimization it set's all the settings for you in the uefi.
I'm new to overclocking, so it kind of teaches me.

The only fans hooked up to my motherboard are the 4 fans for my Arctic Liquid Freezer 240. The case fans are all hooked to the cases fan controller and all are on high speed.
The Arctic fans wiring is unique, they can be daisy chained together. Each fan has two connectors, so another can plug into it.
When I get the EKWB EK-XLC Predator 240 Q.D.C. in February, the 2 add-on fans I get for push/pull are going to be hooked to my cases top panel of the fan controller, as no fans are hooked to that channel.
The bottom 2 fans hook to the radiator.

My front fans are both connected to sys_fan1 Top intake is sys_fan2 bottom intake is sys_fan3 and the fans in push pull on my AIO are controlled by corsair link. At idle the system is very quiet and cool. Under load the AIO makes the most noise but it's not overly loud. Can barely hear it while gaming.

Asus just released uefi 3307 for the Maximus VIII motherboards. I just installed it and replied my overclock in the uefi. I also set VRM Spread Spectrum to disabled, CPU Power Phase Control to Extreme & CPU Power Duty Control to Extreme.
Those 3 were according to a Maximum PC cpu & video card overclock guide 3 issues ago.
