Hello everyone,
I was using my Acer Aspire laptop and suddenly I got a pop up message telling me that Windows detected a hard disk problem (and I keep having this message like every 20 min).
The HDD was working just fine and still works good, but I just get that message.
I also checked the...
Hi, I am having the same problem with a couple of Acer Z1-601. Have any of these things worked for anyone. I am losing the will to live with each cycle of updates and failures taking hours to complete! It would be good to know if anyone has had success. Also, is it likely that the windows 10...

When I got my laptop (Acer Aspire E1-510) it came with Windows 8. I had some really bad lag with this computer so it was recommended I go to Windows 7 which I did. Now, I want to try and re-install Windows 8, however, I do not have a product key... Is there any way to recover it?
Suddenly I can't use Alt-E combinations in any program (e.g. excel where I use it constantly in many common combinations like Alt-e-f, alt-e-s). Even as I post this, if I hit alt-e I get full-screen crosshairs that can be moved with my mouse, and just below and to the right of the crosshair...

Is it my (too) small Acer One or is it a bug in the X86 version of build 10041?
I have an Acer Aspire which came with Windows 8. I have re-formatted the drive and installed Windows 7 Pro but am having problem getting wireless networking to work.
When I try going through Control Panel, network setup, it indicates no network adapter is available. According to the Acer...
One of the updates for my nice old Acer One (High Definition Audio) does not install.
As we can't select updates, we simply have to install them all, that nasty failing update appears in all subsequent series of updates, which causes them all to fail.
I think we really should have the...
A new test environment, a nice litle Acer One with a small screen and an extra 2nd screen, not on the right, not on the left side but over / on top.
The screen is small, so I enabled auto hiding the taskbar and suprise the taskbar of the upper screen slides down into the top of the lower...

At first I thought maybe it was the mouse or even the USB port but as I pursued other possibilities I discovered that my mouse worked just fine from other OS’s such as Acronis Rescue media and also Windows Recovery Console. But no mouse inside of windows. BTW I’m running Windows 8.1 .

The screen on my Windows 8.1 laptop is broken, so I connected my old monitor to it to use instead. I tried to set the correct resolution by right clicking on the desktop and selecting "Screen resolution", but none of the options listed there are correct. Is there a way to manually type which...
My Acer computer has recently been telling my computer is not a genuine version of Windows 7. I searched up on how to fix this problem, and almost every post suggested I run cmd with an admin. So, I did so by clicking on "cmd", then clicking "Run as Admin". Then, I did what the website told me...
