Good to see AMD doing well again.

It sure is.
I hope Vega's good too. Then Intel & Nvidia will both be forced to lower prices and be competitive again.
That's good for all of us.

Intel won't lower prices. They're in denial just like when the athlon came out. They've also reverted to form and started up with their bad practices again/

That doesn't shock me at all.
Depending on how Vega does, 2018 may turnout to be AMD's year.
The games that are actually optimized for Ryzen & Vega should start appearing next year and beyond.

Turning out to be a good week.
2 options were given to me earlier by infections specialist.
Option 1. Let surgeon redo surgery on my anle and leg yet again.
2nd time I just found out he a: didn't clean my leg or ankle bones or plates & screws up.
Thus, the reason for my repeated infections.
Option 2: Get another surgeon, have it amputated, get a prostetic and be done with all the infections.
I'm opting for option #2 as I just had a different kind of infection due to the internal leg infection.
Bloody black stools due to the internal leg infection affecting other thing's thanks to my diabetes.
Thank god in September, Sebastian & I will be out of Florida and back in California.
Then my cable tv went out again, so Charter Spectrum is losing a customer over poor service with frequent outages.

Jeez.. It sounds like an ordeal Keith hope all works out for the better..

I'm trying to figure out why I was given a appointment yesterday. My surgeon was on vacation, so I saw a nurse practitioner. All he did was looked at my 15 day old x-rays, that my surgeon looked at 15 gays ago.
Now, I'm supposedly waiting for a phone call to schedule a third blood test my surgeon supposedly forgot.
Funny 2 blood tests were ordered 15 days ago and I had them done already. Nurse practitioner didn't say one word about them.
In my opinion that visit was a complete waste of my time.

It's worrying when the health care professionals aren't sure about stuff.. I've had plenty of procedures over the years to know how they can get it wrong.
Although I guess we would worse off without em'.

My appointment Thursday was revealing with the Infections Specialist. In a round about way I was informed that my surgeon screwed me up.
Reason for leg infections are uncleaned leg and ankle bones, along with uncleaned metal plates and screws.
Then after my time was literally wasted Friday, I'm now in firing mode.
I haven't done that yet, waiting to get a new surgeon first. Then I'll get the information needed to bury the current surgeon.
When I have the information/proof I need, newspapers and news channels will be notified, to keep it from happening to other's.
Then it will be lawyer time for me.

Things begin to get fun as of Tuesday sometime. charter spectrum comes by to get it's junk cable box and unhook their stuff. I'm just gonna be switching to AT&T's slower internet and DirecTV as my roommates already have it.
I just need to talk to my landlord about something first, as my room already has a ATTT internet hookup, as I had them before and still have my old AT&T router/modem, so if my landlord can get AT&T to just return my modem on, I won't need to buy a new wifi adaptor for my pc.
Otherwise, I'll have to get one next month, as this month's money is gone.
Either way my bills will go down around $100.00 so I can get my other ssd faster.
It still won't be until September, though as it's price have went up I'm sure.
Yeah, it has #335.00 for a refurbished one or $395.47 for a new one on Newegg.
The refurbed one if they have it on the 3rd I can swing next month, if they still have it.

Not to mention there is a HyperThreading problem that requires a BIOS fix on Skylake systems. I think its good AMD is back in competition as it will force prices to go down further, in theory. I mean basically you've got Pepsi and Coke, so hopefully one of them will lower prices, right? The different here, tho, I think is that Intel still has far more to lose than competing companies like NVIDIA when it comes to AMD. Also, hope you feel better @brkkab. Over the years we have all had our share of weird health problems, and I wish you the best.

Yeah, Asus has a pre-release fix for Skylake & Kabylake's hyper-threading issue.
I posted the link for them all elsewhere on the forum, as they're only available through Asus's R.O.G. forums.
I've had it on my pc for about 1 1/2 weeks or so now.
It's o.k. on my pc.
They have it for all z170 and z270 mobo's.
My health is kind of the big unanswered question for now.
Kind of just taking it as it come's the best I can

I'm back after almost a month being gone.
Last month I cancelled Charter Communications' Spectrum Cable TV & Internet Services due to a average of 2 outtages per month for either internet or tv.
Latest tv outage they expected me to wait 2-3 days for them to replace their cable box/dvr, as it stopped working on the 20th.
I told them I wasn't waiting and never had so many issue's with Time Warner Cable's Bright House Networks and if a issue did occur it was repaired by the next day.
I cancelled them and joined my roommates with their AT&T Internet and DirecTV tv service.
I just received a Wi-Fi adaptor for my pc earlier today finally.
Next month I'm going back to Charter's shoddy service, as I can't deal with under 10m.b.p.s. download speeds I'm getting.
Way slower than the 100-118.** m.b.p.s. I had last month.
I got my 2nd Samsung 850 EVO 1TB m.2 ssd out of the way.
I don't feel like waiting over a week just for my games to redownload again once I put my 2 new ssd's in.

Good to see you posting again Keith!

Yeah, it feels good to be able to do something other than just re-watching all my videos on my pc or re-reading my older magazine pdf's again.
Now I just need to wait until next Friday, so I can re-new my magicJack, so I can call my out of state family to let them know I'm o.k. , breathing and still have no clue about my leg.
Still haven't received my message about my supposed needed special leg blood test my surgeon's office was supposed to set up.
Leg & ankle still frequently hurt.
Good news is I've pulled off riding my bike again.
I started doing it about 3 week's ago. I just need to stop more often now from my leg getting tired faster. Bike rides feel better than walkinh does right now.
I've made 1 1/4 mile bike rides, with more stops, no problem.

I just decided tomorrow morning I'm gonna be pulling my old ssd's out of my pc and putting the 2 new Samsung 850 EVO m.2 1 TB and sata 1 TB. ssd's in.
Then it will be off to the fun part of reinstalling, redownloading and reconfiguring everything.
I'm expecting all of that to take 5-7 day's minimum with my slower internet download sppeds of 9.** m.b.p.s. - 20.** m.b.p.s.

Then it will be off to the fun part of reinstalling, redownloading and reconfiguring everything.
You love it really.. ;) (we all do)

Keith as you're replacing drives, the games why not copy them off to save time. Steam and Origin can be pointed at the respective folders and will pick up and then allow reinstalling without the need to download a thing.

It wouldn't be so bad if I still had my old download speeds.
With the 100.** m.b.p.s.- 118.** m.b.p.s., it would be done in 3 days.
Now, I questimated on how long it will currently take me.
I say 5-7 days at the minimum.

Great idea!

I do this too. I simply save my 'Steamapps' folder and 'Origin Games' folder.

After reformatting I just install STEAM and Origin back on and pop in the saved folders, job done.
